First Brandon National Bank. The Otter Bank. About Us.
First Brandon Bank is Naturally Here to Help

First Brandon Bank was founded in 1863, becoming the first, and remaining the only bank with its original roots in Rutland County, Vermont.

The year 2007 marks a milestone for First Brandon Bank, as we merged with Lake Sunapee Bank of neighboring New Hampshire.

Each bank shares a local, community-based banking philosophy. In the proudest New England tradition, each has always been dedicated to providing quality financial solutions to the small towns and cities we serve.

First Brandon Bank and its customers - individuals, families, and businesses - now realize the benefits of the merger in a number of ways: Operational efficiencies, added financial strength and resources of a regional banking organization, and a broader range of banking products and services through Lake Sunapee Bank.

Lake Sunapee Bank is the sole operating subsidiary of New Hampshire Thrift Bankshares, Inc., a publicly-traded holding company listed on NASDAQ under the symbol NHTB.

First Brandon Bank continues to thrive as a local, full-service financial institution, responsive to all our customers’ needs, and reinvesting in the community.
